Chief Operating Officer - MAS Holdings

As the COO of MAS, Shakthi focuses on driving synergies and operational excellence across the group and is also a member of the MAS Holdings Apparel Board and the MAS Innovation Leadership Team.

Prior to his current role, he took on the mantle of Group Turnaround Officer from Jan 2019 - May 2021. He provided guidance and direction to over 1,500 projects across 14 divisions, with the objective of enhancing the MAS bottom line. He also held the post of Group HR Director, overseeing HR & Talent Management for MAS. In his 21-year tenure at MAS, Shakthi has also held senior positions in Merchandising, Logistics and Supply Chain.

Shakthi is an alumnus of the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College, Boston, USA. He has attended Executive Development Programs carried out by INSEAD, along with several leadership programs by Doug Adams and Dave Ulrich. Holding an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), a B.A. specialising in Economics and Modern Languages from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, and is a Graduate from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
