PRASANNA JAYASEKARA

Group Finance Director

Prasanna oversees all Finance functions including Corporate Finance, Treasury, Group Risk and Control, and the Finance Shared Services Functions of MAS. He also serves as a Board Member of the MAS Apparel Board and the MAS Innovation Board.

Prasanna counts over 29 years of experience in the fields of Finance, Manufacturing, Merchandising, Procurement and Business Consultancy. Commencing his journey at MAS in 2006 as Director - Planning and Strategy at MAS Active, Prasanna went on to assume the role of Director - Finance, Planning and Strategy in 2008. He was then appointed Chief Operations Officer at MAS Active in 2012 and took over the leadership of MAS Fabrics as the Chief Executive Officer in 2017.

Immediately before his appointment as Group Finance Director, Prasanna held the position of Director - Group Procurement where he gave leadership to the Center of Excellence for External Spend across the organisation, harmonising engagements with vendors across all Divisions, leveraging MAS’ scale of operations.

Prior to MAS, Prasanna was employed at Ernst & Young and C. F. Venture Fund Limited and later Courtaulds Clothing Lanka (Pvt) Limited first as its Financial Controller, and later as Finance Director, Commercial Director and Assistant Managing Director.

Prasanna is an Associate Member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and has attended several Executive Education programmes conducted by INSEAD, the National University of Singapore and the Harvard Business School.
